Personal Data Processed
In connection with your use of our services, the following categories of your personal data may be processed:
- Identity information: first name, last name,
- Contact information: email address, phone number, delivery and billing address,
- Customer transaction information: order history, order number, payment and delivery details,
- Transaction security information: cookie and log records relating to your use of the website.
Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:
- Receiving, preparing, and delivering your orders, and the conclusion and performance of the sales contract,
- Carrying out payment and delivery processes,
- Managing customer relations and responding to your requests and complaints,
- Fulfilling our legal obligations (invoicing, accounting, record retention, etc.),
- Operating the website and ensuring and improving its security.
Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data
Your personal data is processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK, namely that the processing is "directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract", "mandatory for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligation", "mandatory for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right", and "mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject". Where necessary, processing may also be carried out on the basis of your explicit consent.
Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be shared, only to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes stated above, with contracted courier companies for the purpose of delivering your order, with authorized public institutions and organizations within the scope of our legal obligations, and with the suppliers from whom we receive services, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK. Other than this, your data is not sold or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.
Retention Period of Personal Data
Your personal data is retained for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it is processed and for the retention periods stipulated in the relevant legislation (for example, the periods determined under commercial and financial legislation). Once these periods expire, your data is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
Rights of the Data Subject
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, by applying to the data controller, you have the following rights in relation to your own personal data:
- To learn whether your personal data is being processed,
- To request information where your data has been processed,
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether your data is used in accordance with that purpose,
- To know the third parties, domestically or abroad, to whom your data is transferred,
- To request correction where your data has been processed incompletely or incorrectly,
- To request the deletion or destruction of your data under the conditions stipulated in the KVKK,
- To request that any correction, deletion, or destruction be notified to the third parties to whom your data has been transferred,
- To object to any adverse outcome that arises against you as a result of your processed data being analyzed exclusively through automated systems,
- To request compensation in the event that you suffer damage due to the unlawful processing of your data.
These are your rights under the KVKK.
Method of Application
You can submit your requests regarding the rights stated above, together with information verifying your identity, by sending an email to info@shemsspecial.com. Depending on their nature, your requests are concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest; should the process require an additional cost, the fee in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
